Coaching for good leaders, from someone who’s sat where you sit

Think back over this week for a moment. The decision only you could make. The message you drafted twice and didn’t send. The thing you meant to get to for yourself, and didn’t, because someone else needed you first.

You show up for everyone. It’s one of the best things about you.

Some weeks it feels more like keeping everyone afloat than building the life you meant to build. If you’d like some company in that, and you’re ready to stop handling it all by yourself, this page is for you.

I know that week from the inside. I was a leader pouring into everyone with nothing left for myself, and that’s why I built every room on this page. Whichever one you choose, you’ll have someone in your corner who’s been where you are, who’ll tell you the truth with care, and who’ll help you see what the noise has been hiding.

The hardest part is knowing who to trust with the things you haven’t said out loud yet. So here’s every room, from free reading to one-to-one executive coaching with me: what it’s for, who it’s for, and what it is.

Every room begins the same way, with one conversation, and every seat is offered on fit. Each step should be worth it on its own, even if you never take the next one.

When you’d like to think it through quietly first

A black grand piano beside tall windows above a city at night, one brass floor lamp lit, the room empty and ready for practice

What it’s for: something’s off, and you’d rather understand it before you share it with another person. That’s completely reasonable. Most people who carry a lot rarely get the chance to think out loud.

Who it’s for: anyone who’d like to look at it privately first, with nothing to sign up for.

What it is: free. The Lead Your Power channel and the blog, beginning with the Start Here page. A private Conversation Inventory, a short list of the conversations you’ve been meaning to have, is in the works.

When something feels wrong and you’d like an honest read

What it’s for: you can feel it, but you can’t quite name it yet. Is it you, the plan, the people, or a little of each? And the people closest to it are often the hardest ones to ask.

Who it’s for: anyone building something who senses it’s off and would rather look at it now than later, whether on your own, with a partner or with a team.

What it is: the Read. A short, honest conversation about what’s really going on, and whether any of these rooms is right for you. Either way, you’ll leave with a clear, kind steer.

When you’d rather work through it at your own pace

What it’s for: you learn best on your own time, and so much of what’s out there is either fluff or a pitch.

Who it’s for: people who’d like the fundamentals in hand before they sit down with anyone.

What it is: the Field Guide, a self-study course. How to communicate when it’s your name on the line, how to hand work off with trust, how to have the hard conversation kindly, how partners set agreements early, and how to lead through a difficult season. It’s in development. Mention it when you write, and you’ll hear when it opens.

When the role grew bigger than the one you signed up for

What it’s for: the job changed around you. You were very good at the work. Now the work is decisions, people and pressure: a first hire, a first partner, or more people than you’ve ever led. Nobody handed you the manual, and you’ve been figuring it out as you go, mostly on your own.

Who it’s for: founders welcoming their first people, new managers, first-time owners, and practice heads. Also anyone who’d enjoy growing in the company of peers.

What it is: the Leadership Circle, group coaching with a small circle of people working on the same things. You learn the work, then practice it together with people who understand: handing off work, the hard conversation, hiring and letting go with grace, and leading well when the pressure’s on.

When what you’ve built still leans on you for everything

What it’s for: you built it, and it still waits for you. Every hour you step away, something slows. The people around you need you to be fine, so you are, out loud. And the conversations that matter most, with the people you build with and the people at home, keep getting moved to next week.

Who it’s for: the person at the top of something real, with a name and relationships worth protecting, whether that’s an owner, CEO, executive, founder or partner, with revenue coming in or still on the way.

What it is: the Operator Seat, one-to-one executive coaching with me. I’m your confidant: someone to think out loud with on the hard calls, and to walk beside you through the difficult stretches. We’ll work on leadership, communication, your partner and team relationships while they’re still working, and on you, because the same person who runs your company comes home at night.

What it isn’t: marketing help, or legal, tax or financial advice.

When you and your partners work well together and want to keep it that way

What it’s for: it’s good right now. You and your partners still talk, still laugh, still trust each other. But some of the big questions have never been said out loud. Who decides what. Who gets consulted. What happens when two of you see it differently. Those questions are easiest to ask while things are warm between you.

Who it’s for: co-founders, partners and leadership teams who work well together and want to set their alignment while everything’s going right.

What it is: the Partner Table, a facilitated working session on how your team communicates and decides: where you’re headed, each person’s role, who decides what and who gets consulted, and how often you meet and raise things, so a difference of opinion gets talked through the week it starts.

What it isn’t: ownership terms, money splits, exits and succession plans aren’t covered. Those belong with your own advisors.

When another kind of help would serve you better

Sometimes the kindest thing I can do is point you to the right door, so I’ll say this plainly.

If things with a partner or co-founder have already turned into an open fight, this isn’t the right fit right now, and the first call will say so.

If what you need is a licensed professional, please see one first. You deserve the right kind of help.

Questions about the rooms

Why aren’t there prices here? Because finding the right room comes first. Terms are set with you once we both know it’s a fit, and you’ll see them before you commit to anything.

Will this fix it? That isn’t a promise anyone should make you. What you’d have is the truth about where you are, a process you can keep, and me in your corner, gently telling you both.

Is what I’m dealing with too personal for a leadership coach? Coaching works with the whole person, home included. It just isn’t therapy, and it won’t pretend to be.

What if I don’t know which room fits? Then you’re right where most people start. Finding that out together is what the first conversation is for.

Why should I trust you with this? It’s a fair question, and I’m glad you’re asking it. I’m a combat veteran, I’ve worked inside multinational corporations and helped scale companies the right way, and I’ve coached the coaches. The whole road is on the About page. You’re welcome to take your time with it.

Start with what’s weighing on you most

It’s been on your list longer than anything else, and it’s still the first thing on your mind when the day goes quiet.

Share it with me in a few lines. If it looks like a fit, we’ll have the Read together, and you’ll get an honest answer about which room, if any, is right for you.

Let someone fill your cup for a change

You’ve given so much, for so long, to so many people. You’re allowed to receive a little of it back.

The first step is small. Do a little homework on where you are, then pick fifteen minutes on the calendar.

Not ready to talk yet? That’s fine. Start here, with short reads sorted by what’s on your mind.
